Who are we? We are a team of friendly, flexible and professional psychological counsellors with accreditation to UK standards such as BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, FDAP (Federation of Drug and Alcohol Counsellors) and the UKRCP (UK register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) We are qualified to treat a variety of problems. What do we offer? We have a variety of different therapies that you can use, tailored to your needs. All are tried, tested and evidence-based. We offer: Individual Counselling Sessions This is what most people understand by therapy: two people in relationship and working towards change in a friendly, supportive and, above all, in a non-judgmental manner. Most of our sessions are short-term solution focussed although open-ended psychotherapy for deeper problems or core issues is also possible. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) We have a range of evidence based courses for people suffering from depression, anxiety, chronic worry or generalised anxiety, shyness or social anxiety, anger management, aggression control, procrastination, assertiveness training, low self-esteem, shame reduction, panic attacks, bipolar disorder mood management, Group Psychotherapy Also called Support Groups. A powerful way to get to know yourself with the help of others who understand what you are going through. Facilitated by an experienced counselor. These groups meet weekly and are very useful if you feel lonely, dislocated or just lost. Workshops An opportunity to explore single persistent problem areas with a group. Examples include: Anger Management, Self-Esteem, Assertiveness Training. We have many others so call us for more information Addictions We are qualified and highly experienced addictions consultants and have decades of experience working with all forms of substance abuse and dependency. We offer assessment and diagnosis, referral to detox or primary treatment, both individual and group relapse prevention, aftercare, family support, workplace substance abuse education, psychoeducational groups on demand etc What Next? Call us now for a free initial consultation or screening session. This is an opportunity for you to see what we are like; to get the ‘feel’ of us; to see if we meet your needs and can help you. It is also an opportunity to ask us questions about how we practice; our qualifications and experience; what we charge etc It also allows us to gauge if we can help you. We will send you some paperwork to fill in and ask you to post, fax or email this back to us. Then we will meet for a screening session. This should last about 30 to 45 minutes. We will explore if we can work together and then arrange our first counselling session.
