Leopard is a monthly glossy, full-colour magazine which covers the culture of the North-East of Scotland: its people past and present, its heritage, the arts, local language (Doric) and humour, fiction, poetry, wildlife and countryside, castles and standing stones… and a crossword puzzle. Leopard''s cartoon strip, Councillor Swick, is written by Buff Hardy and Steve Robertson of Scotland the What? and drawn by Sandy Cheyne. Our regular columnists include Norman Harper, a North-East favourite; Derrick McClure and Professor Sandy Fenton on the Scots language, and Simon McPhun on gardens. A true cottage industry, it is produced from a cottage at the foot of Bennachie.
