Yorkshire Archaeological Society

The YAS is a Charity set up for the promotion of historical and archaeological research in the county of York in the 19th century. We have an extensive library and archive of documents and other material relating past events in Yorkshire. The Society actively encourages the dissemination of information about the history of the county through day schools, meetings, the activities of our special interest sections, and our links to many of the history and archaeology groups across the county.
