The Puddle People

We are a Fused Glass Design Studio located in the beautiful Berkshire Mountains of Western Massachusetts. We specialize in one-of-a-kind original works of wearable art. The focal point of each piece is a unique fused glass cabochon created in our studio. This involves several layers of glass gently fused together by layering them and melting to approximately 1500 degrees- at which point the glass becomes a liquid "puddle" (hence our name!) The glass is slowly cooled to allow for proper annealing to prevent breakage. Each piece is shaped, reworked, and returned to the kiln of at least one more round (sometimes more!) When the glass finished, it is often wrapped with wire. Some cabochons are matched with lovely coordinating glass and metal beads and others are strung on cording to become the final work of wearable art! All designs are original and one-of-a-kind.
