Second Nature Behaviour

We provide clinical animal behaviour counselling services for dogs, cats and parrots in and around the Midlands, primarily through home visits and behaviour clinics. We also support parrot and cat caregivers virtually around the world. On veterinary referral, Second Nature Behaviour helps pets and their owners better understand each other, using reward- and evidence-based techniques. We provide expert advice and support with animal behaviour problems such as: aggression, phobias, overexcitability, compulsive disorders, age-related conditions and inappropriate elimination, destruction or vocalisations. Each individual and their family is provided with tailored support specific to their issues and circumstances. We are here to listen and work with you to find a kind, realistic solution. Having attained exceptional academic qualifications and extensive practical experience, the clinical animal behaviourists at Second Nature Behaviour are fully insured and committed to the highest ethical standards set by the profession. Second Nature Behaviour is also passionate about developing the next generation of Clinical Animal Behaviourists. We mentor pet behaviour students, who may be working towards industry recognised standards, such as independent CCAB accreditation. This allows our mentees to become fully qualified members of practitioner trade bodies, such as the Fellowship of Animal Behaviour Clinicians. Our animal behaviourists will travel to see cases approximately 20 miles from our hubs in Birmingham, Stoke-on-Trent and Coventry. This includes the West Midlands, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, Shropshire, Worcestershire, Cheshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and South Derbyshire.
