Leeds Autism Family Support is a service aimed at families with children aged 2-11 with autism spectrum disorder or other learning, speech and communicative disorders who have limited or no functional speech. (A diagnosis is not required.) We provide an alternative to Speech and Language therapy. Sadly, not all children do develop speech and we believe providing children with a means to communicate their wants and needs immediately should be the priority. We provide your child and family with alternative means of receptive and expressive functional communication using visual strategies including the use of picture communication systems.
