After ten years in the classroom, I decided I'd like a little bit more control over my career and my experience and love of children made childminding the obvious choice. I have two boys of my own who are now 9 and 7 and I really missed the toddler stage. I am loving working with the under fives! Like all registered childminders and nurseries, I am bound to meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation standards, but the advantage of childminding is the ability to be flexible, use in the moment planning, get out and about with ease and really make use of the wonderful place we live.
