Each playing piece has been completely changed from the old Staunton, to represent modern day conflict around the globe. The goal is to re-introduce chess as a fantastic / exciting game to play for all ages. The NEXCHESS set has been manufactured to competition size, ie king now President is 3.5" tall. The pieces are made of poly resin with a stone powder content to give weight.
