LEARNING DISABILITY: Music sessions with learning disabled adults and children. Ensemble work, band development, songwriting, music collages, compositions. Educational and fun workshops using tactile percussion instruments, traditional instruments, singing and soundbeam. Sessions in schools, colleges, day centres, playschemes and community settings. Experience of OCN accreditation and currently training as an Arts Awards Advisor. OLDER PEOPLE: Work with older people, some with dementia on reminiscence. Using the medium of songwriting and aiding them to make songs and feel ownership for their work. Case studies include a woman from St Kitts and her song ''The Sun in the Sea'' and a man from the Black Country''s song ''My Working Life''. Group therapeutic music sessions for older adults in hospitals and residential homes. Using a personalised approach and treating each person as an individual with unique musical tastes, likes and dislikes. Sessions include singing, percussion playing, movement, relaxation and spontaneous performance. PRIMARY SCHOOLS: Children can learn to be a word spy or a sound collector, a rhythm magician or a voice painter, a song-maker or a poet with a rainstick. Fun and curriculum-centred sound activities. Projects include a school where pupils made songs & compositions related to the curriculum about the skeleton, the Victorians, rivers and the stages of life. In another project students were assisted to write a song celebrating 30 years of the school. The song became the school anthem!Tony Wille
