We provide a range of services for business computer networks in the Thames Valley, North Hampshire and parts of Surrey. Our speciality is resolving network problems in both cabled and wireless networks, and this includes the all important connection to the internet. If you have lost your internet connection due to an external problem, we provide an emergency internet access service using the 3G mobile phone network. Our router and aerial combinations can provide a reasonable connection speed in some areas where phones do not work well, if at all. Using the 3G network is not as fast as wired ADSL connection, and rather more expensive, but it can be a business saver if you rely heavily on having internet access. If problems with internet access occur regularly, we have a simple system for using two different ADSL connections, with ideally different internet service providers, that gives service backup, as well as extra bandwidth. The media make much of scare stories about cyber crime, and it is becoming more important to ensure that a network carrying business data is secure. We offer a simple check for networks to see if security is up to scratch, and if it''s not, we can suggest how it might be improved. Wireless networks are extremely useful for temporary connections, and can save on cabling costs, but as they become more widely used, the competition for the wireless bandwidth increase, making decent speed connections more difficult to achieve.
