Acholi Beads made by the Acholi women in Uganda using recycled and rolled paper. The money earned from creating these beautiful beads help these women to provide for themselves and their children. By buying Leafy&Loomy’s pieces, which among other things consist of Acholi beads, you will support Acholi women and their work. I use only quality produce such as sterling silver, silk, Swarovski crystals beads, cotton, and jute twine. I look for my inspiration within the natural world and therefore use earthy materials: semi-precious stones and rocks. Materials brought to us by water: seashells and freshwater pearls.
