camping: where it all began... Canopy & Stars is the latest thing to come out of Sawday''s, a Bristol based company that specialises in the special. For over a decade we''ve been seeking out and bringing people exceptional B&Bs, hotels, pubs and self-catering places to stay. Canopy & Stars has grown out of founder Alastair Sawday’s childhood obsession with climbing trees and building treehouses. He claims to have made one that had running water and a sofa, but no photos have yet been seen. So we set about thinking how we could give everyone the feeling of excitement and adventure that came from camping, but with a little touch of what we love at Sawday''s. We came up with this - our ever growing collection of luxury camping - or ''glamping'' - places.
