The Academy believes that music is for everyone. We teach according to each individuals’ needs and desired outcomes, whether that be taking lessons as a recreational activity, passing music examinations or becoming a professional musician. Our one-to-one lessons will leave students feeling inspired and energetic. At The Academy, anyone can unlock the secrets of music. You don’t have to be a great singer or instrumental player! The Academy is a place where students can master their instruments and play in ensembles whilst experiencing the sense of friendship and camaraderie that comes with it. The Academy is not just a place to learn, but also a community. We have formed a vibrant and industrious centre which holds regular concerts, encourages students to perform, enjoy themselves and work well together. Academy students will learn and benefit from our musicianship classes which integrate an internal understanding and connection to music alongside the teaching of theoretical and technical knowledge. We pride ourselves on having only the most inspiring teachers, who are already passionate and driven professional musicians. Our teachers have endeavoured to provide a method of teaching that challenges preconceptions of the music institution, bringing music teaching into the modern age. All our teachers devote their lives to playing and teaching music, so our students will always learn from those that do, as well as teach.
