Simply Bowen - Equine Bowen Therapy

Simply Bowen is Bowen Therapy for horses and people from a qualified and registered Bowen Therapist. www.simply-bowen.co.uk Louise of Simply Bowen was trained in Equine Bowen Therapy by Beth Darrall of European School of Equine Bowen Therapy, who developed the Bowen Technique for use on horses. These days we often put our horses under a lot of pressure. Competition horses are often pushed to allow them to reach their maximum potential. This can make them more susceptible to muscle and soft tissue injury, having a negative effect on their performance. However, it''s not just performance horses that injure themselves or need a little help from time to time. Even retired or pleasure horses can have problems which can be causesd easily when rolling or playing in the field, slipping on mud or tarmac, pulling back when tied up and even getting cast in the stable. Equine Bowen Therapy can help with many common problems including the following: Unlevelness and misalignments Muscle spasms and muscle injuries Muscle atrophy and uneven development Stiffness on one rein Deterioration in performance Irregular action, unveven and disunited gaits Uneven wear of shoes or hooves Sore or "cold" back Respiratory problems Sluggish lymphatic systems and weakened immune systems Uncharacteristic change in behaviour Congested kidneys Bowen Therapy helps to boost the lymphatic and circulatory systems,so it is good for helping with lymphangitis and laminitis, as well as boosting the kidneys, nervous systems and premoting or kick starting the body''s own healing processes. In addition to this it produces endorphines, the body''s own "feel good" drugs, so horses usually find it very relaxing and it helps to restore their overall well being. A really nice treat for your hard working friend! Most horses will need 2 -3 treatments to get a long lasting effect from the sessions. It''s not just horses that benefit from Bowen Therapy. Simply Bowen also treats people (and soon dogs too!). Your horse''s performance will be enhanced if the rider is also balanced. If you are unlevel it is hard for your horse to balance himself, whether jumping, completing a dressage test or just enjoying a nice hack. I generally recommend that the rider also has a Bowen Treatment to ensure you are both balanced and level. Operating in the West Midlands, Worcestershire, Staffordshire and Warwickshire areas. I am always happy to talk to people to see if Bowen Therapy may help them or their horse. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to give me a call or check my website.
